You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn points in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
Membership is only available to individuals. Corporate entities may nominate an employee or officer, who is a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to receive Qantas Frequent Flyer points. Resellers and their nominated officers or employees should consult a taxation adviser regarding possible taxation implications (including Fringe Benefits Tax) relating to earning points through this program.
Kyocera Mita Australia Pty Ltd is not responsible for any Income Tax or Fringe Benefits Tax or any other taxes arising from the user's participation in the Program. Qantas Frequent Flyer points available on nominated Kyocera printers only from 1 May 2006.
Kyocera will pay for the Qantas Frequent Flyer membership, for Qantas Frequent Flyer membership applications received by Kyocera by 31 May 2006. Applications must be on the special Qantas Frequent Flyer membership application form found at www.kyocera.com.au/reseller.
Qantas Frequent Flyer Rewards Program Rules Terms & Conditions - Effective April 2006
These Conditions of Use do not, on their own, contain the terms applying to your Qantas Frequent Flyer Card. Therefore it is important that you read all of the Conditions applying to your Qantas Frequent Flyer Card and retain them for future reference.
1.0 Your participation in the Program
1.1 The Kyocera Mita Australia & New Zealand Qantas Rewards Program (the “Program”) is operated by Kyocera Mita Australia Pty Ltd (“Kyocera”, “we”, “us”). Please read these Reward Program Rules (the “Rules”) carefully before participating in the Program.
1.2 The Kyocera Mita Australia Privacy Policy (“Private Policy”) www.kyoceramita.com.au is a part of these Rules.
1.3 By applying to become a part of and by participating in the Program you indicate your acceptance of these Rules and your consent to have your personal information dealt with in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
1.4 You may apply for participation in the Program if you are a current employee of an authorised distributor, dealer or reseller of genuine Kyocera products (the ”Products”) and are at least 18 years old.
1.5 If at any time you no longer wish to accept these Rules or wish to terminate your participation in the Program you should notify us at the address given below or e-mail us at qffrewards@kyoceramita.com.au.
1.6 To be eligible for Qantas Frequent Flyer points you must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, you must supply your correct name and Frequent Flyer number to ensure points can be transferred to your card. Only the registered participant in the program can supply a frequent flyer name and number no other card holders name or number is accepted. In the case where an incorrect name or number is provided these points will be deemed invalid.
2.0 Your use of the Program’s website
2.1 Once you have been accepted into the Program you will be notified by us and issued with your Program identification name and password.
2.2 The identification name and password can be used by you to access the Rewards Program pages of the Kyocera website (the “Website”) and to view and record your sales of our Products. You must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any third parties. You acknowledge that you are liable for the improper use of your password on our Website. We reserve the right to change or re-issue your password from time to time.
2.3 You agree not to in any way seek to interfere with the operation of, or corrupt or use the Website for any purpose other than recording your sales of the Product. The content, programs and materials on the Website and its IP address are owned by or licensed to Kyocera and are protected by copyright, trade mark, patent and other proprietary rights.
2.4 Your failure to keep the password confidential or your unauthorised use of the Website may result in your suspension or removal from the Program.
3.0 Claiming your rewards
3.1 The Program commences from 1 May 2006. You will be able to claim rewards for sales you make on or after the date on which you are accepted into the Program. You will be notified of that date by us.
3.2 A listing of the Qantas Frequent Flyer rewards you may claim in relation to the Products are located at the Website. We reserve the right to amend the level of rewards payable for a sale of our Products or to remove or add Products for which rewards may be earned.
3.3 In order to make a claim you will need to enter the Products model and serial numbers into the Website. Please note that we reserve the right not to pay, to deduct or to cancel rewards on sales of the following:
• Products whose details have been entered incorrectly or incompletely
• Other than for sales through distribution, products that have already been sold or claimed by another member to the Program
• Products for which rewards are no longer available
• Products that have been returned by a customer
• Products whose sale or origin are in dispute
3.4 A claim for a reward for a Product cannot be backdated or made retrospective, claims may only be made once in the lifetime of that Product. With the exception of a sale through distribution to a resellers, rewards cannot be claimed by two or more people or divided between the accounts of Scheme members.
3.5 You should ensure that you retain all necessary proof relating to the sale of the Product in respect of which you are claiming a reward. This will need to include at least the following items:
• The model and serial number of the Product
• A copy of the invoice relating to the sale of the Product
3.6 Once your claim has been verified by us we will arrange for the corresponding reward points to be transferred to you. A failure to retain the items listed in 3.5 may result in your Qantas Points for a reward not being paid.
3.7 We reserve the right to withhold Qantas Frequent Flyer points in relation to any Product the claim for which is in dispute or cannot be substantiated by you.
3.8 Any dispute concerning the validity of a claim will be investigated by a senior manager whose decision will be final and binding.
3.9 A claim for reward points may be made at any time after an invoice has been generated for the sale of a Product and the first payment received from the customer. Any claims for a reward points must be made within sixty (60) days of the date on which these two conditions have first been met. We reserve the right to cancel, withhold or deduct any reward points in respect of a Product which is returned or in respect of which such payment by a customer is reversed, cancelled or invalid.
3.10 Any early, incorrect or false claims or claims made in respect of sales of Products made by any other Scheme participants may result in your suspension or termination from the Program and may have further and serious legal consequences.
3.11 Participants in the program cannot earn more than 250,000 points in any one year.
3.12 Claims can not be made on any government or school sales.
4.0 Other things you need to know about the Program and these Rules
4.1 We reserve to at any time and without cause terminate or suspend the Program or your participation in it.
4.2 We may amend, update or vary these Rules from time to time. The current version of these Rules may be viewed at www.kyoceramita.com.au. We will advise you of any changes by sending you a message to the e-mail address you have provided. A copy of the Rules certified by an authorised officer of Kyocera is conclusive evidence of the Rules applicable at any time.
4.3 If you have any queries about these Rules or the Scheme, wish to notify us of any matter or wish to terminate your participation in the Scheme please contact:

4.4 Any notices given about any matter concerning the Rules or you participation in the Scheme must be made to the above address. You are responsible for keeping us advised of any changes to your contact details.
4.5 You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn points in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. A joining fee applies for Qantas Frequent Flyer membership applications received after 31 May 2006. Membership is only available to individuals. Corporate entities may nominate an employee or officer, who is a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to receive Qantas Frequent Flyer points. Resellers and their nominated officers or employees should consult a taxation adviser regarding possible taxation implications (including Fringe Benefits Tax) relating to earning points through this program. Kyocera Mita Australia Pty Ltd or Kyocera Mita New Zealand Ltd is not responsible for any Income Tax or Fringe Benefits Tax arising from the user’s participation in the Program. Qantas Frequent Flyer points available on nominated Kyocera printers only from 1 May 2006.
4.6 You agree to pay all taxes, duties or levies on the payment of any rewards made to you including any fringe benefits tax or related charges that may be payable by you, your employer or Kyocera in relation to any rewards you earn by your participation in the Program, whether or not they were applicable at the time you joined the Scheme.
4.7 You acknowledge that any accidental overpayment or credit granted in excess of the net entitlements you have earned by your participation in the Program can be debited by Kyocera against any future reward payments earned by you and must be repaid by you on demand.
4.8 These Rules, your participation in the Scheme and the operation and use of the Website is subject to the laws of the State of New South Wales.
4.9 Any failure of Kyocera to enforce or exercise its rights under these Rules shall not constitute a waiver of such rights and shall not prevent it from subsequently enforcing or exercising any such rights.
B. Reseller Program Club Kyocera Terms and Conditions........(back to top)
1. The Kyocera 5 Star Program is open to Kyocera Australian Authorised Dealers and Registered Resellers only.
2. Only Kyocera Registered Resellers and Authorised Dealers are eligible for the program and must obtain a KyoCard to claim rewards. All applications accepted into the KyoCard program will receive a Westpac Master Debit Card. Prospective participants can register for the program at www.kyocera.com.au/reseller.
3. Kyocera’s rewards program known as KyoCard is the only method to register sales for Resellers and Dealers. All sales for the program must be registered in the month of entry.
4. Awards
(i) Printer State Achievement Awards
At the end of each quarter beginning 1 April 2007, the individual achieving the highest KyoCard Dollars in each territory for the sale of Kyocera printers will be awarded a 3 night short-break for 2 people at a 5 Star destination in their state.
The fi ve territories are as follows: Queensland including Northern Territory, New South Wales including ACT, Victoria including Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. The destination will be advised at the beginning of each quarter. The prize awarded for printer sales will be for accommodation only and will not include transport or spending money and can only be taken during the period advised.
(ii) MFP National Achievement Award
The individual who achieves the highest KyoCard Dollars nationally for the sale of Kyocera MFPs will receive a 3 night short break for 2 people at a 5 Star destination. The Prize awarded for MFP sales will include airfares and taxes from the nearest capital city to the destination and will not include spending money.
5. The highest achiever for state and national awards will be calculated based on the total of validated Printer and MFP sales entered into KyoCard for the quarter. (The highest accumulated KyoCard Dollars earned for eligible Kyocera ECOSYS printers and MFPs).
6. Winners must be over 18 years of age.
7. A winner will be announced within the fi rst 5 working days of the end of each quarter beginning 1 April 2007 and ending 31 March 2008.
8. The winner will be notifi ed and published on the Kyocera web site each quarter. In the event of a tie the winner will be determined based on the highest number of units sold for that month.
9. You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn points in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. Until 30 June 2007, Kyocera will pay, on the applicants behalf, the joining fee for the Qantas Frequent Flyer program if the application is valid and received by 30 June 2007. A joining fee applies for Qantas Frequent Flyer membership applications received after 30 June 2007. Membership is only available to
individuals. Corporate entities may nominate an employee or offi cer, who is a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to receive Qantas Frequent Flyer points.
10. Kyocera reserves the right to refuse entry into the 5 Star program. Kyocera will not pay the Qantas Frequent Flyer membership joining fee of any applicant who is refused entry.
11. Resellers, Dealers and their nominated offi cers or employees should consult a taxation adviser regarding possible taxation implications (including Fringe Benefi ts Tax) relating to earning benefi ts through this program. Kyocera Mita Australia Pty Ltd is not responsible for any Income Tax or Fringe Benefi ts Tax arising from the user’s participation
in the Program. Qantas Frequent Flyer points available on nominated Kyocera printers, MFPs and copiers only.
12. This promotion is not available in conjunction with any other promotion or offer.
13. Employees and their immediate families of Kyocera and Kyocera Authorised Distributors are ineligible to enter the promotion.
14. Bonus prizes are not transferable or assignable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
15. Claims will be deemed invalid if the same invoice number or serial number is used on more than one claim.
16. All entries become the property of Kyocera Mita Australia, by entering the competition, the participant consents to the use of all information in the entry for marketing and promotional purposes by Kyocera Mita Australia.
17. Kyocera Mita Australia reserves the right to request additional information from participants to validate any claim.
18. Submitting a false claim will automatically disqualify the claim and it will make the customer ineligible for any further promotions.
19. These conditions are not open to interpretation or debate by participants of the promotion. Kyocera Mita Australia reserves the right to make all fi nal decisions regarding this promotion. No correspondence will be entered into. The promotion may be withdrawn at the discretion of Kyocera Mita Australia at any time. Kyocera have the right to determine a minimum achievement level in each state and nationally. If achievement is below these levels, the incentive will not be valid for that state or national award.
20. All prizes are subject to availability and not available during school and public holidays.
21. You must claim your holiday within the first year of winning.
